STUDIO E LAUNCHES LATEST COUTURE COLLECTION
"THE NEW WAVE IN HEAVY METAL"

Studio E, makers of luxury wallpapers which are painted and finished by hand, is mining some new metals. “Metals seem to be on point right now with no end in sight,” says Alexis Greene, President and Creative Director, “but we felt the market needed more choices in color and texture where metallics were concerned.”
Studio E, long known for applying current themes in fashion to their couture line, picks up on prevailing influences including 80s era ‘glam rock’ and its characteristic metal adornments –chains, studs, bangles and grommets--expressed through the use of uncommon metal textures. Ms. Greene states, “Our papers are designed to be timeless. We want them to evoke current trends, yet still transcend them --so we are presenting these influences in a very subtle and sophisticated way.”
Introducing ‘noble’ metals that rock the house. Royalty gets rebellious, with a punk edge. First is Princess Leia, a distressed gilded linen, while Princess Grace charms in a graceful scratchitti. Jackie O is a slick directional metal strie which contrasts to Queen Anne, a lacy floral delicately rendered in metal-leaf. These four patterns are available in gold, silver, platinum, and white gold. For designers prospecting for something splashier, Stella won’t disappoint. Neutral backgrounds are “splattered” with liquid metal and deliver the glitter like never before. The result is 24 karat genius that will bring you to your melting point. Ms. Greene ends by saying, “We’ve never seen metallics like this before so we are extremely energized about this launch.”
